YSWN Huddersfield Makers Synth Jam
Sunday 6 December 2026, doors noon, noon to 4pm
Join us to explore synths and make some cool sounds!
About the event
A synth meet-up and skill-share for women and non-binary people: whether you’re an old hand with oscillators or have never touched a synthesiser before, everyone is welcome, regardless of experience.
It is a chance for complete beginners to learn some sound synthesis basics, and for more experienced synth heads to share equipment and knowledge. Join us, mess around with making sounds and take part in a live synth improvisation.
For ages 18+, or 14+ with full participation of a guardian.
You don't need to bring anything but might want to bring some headphones. You’re welcome to bring a synth, sampler or drum machine (and cables if you have them).
We'll be setting up and plugging in from around 12pm and the event proper runs from 1pm-3.30pm - you're free to come for some or all of the session.
Please note: In line with the aims of the YSWN Huddersfield Makers group, this workshop is intended for an audience of women (cis and trans) and non-binary people – we would like to remind you to please respect this when booking.
